When things don't work out according to plan...
Had to do a recent theme đ to celebrate the Mooncake đ and a family birthday event
What I thought of a good interpretation of mine for the festive birthday didnât sit well with the client. Had to redo the decoration all within âČon the day of delivery .As a parent of four kids, it was made worse for my two boys had no school on that day. It was very stressful and pressurising ! I was home alone doing the cake in the kitchen and it was surprisingly quiet đ€. Turn out my kids were in the study room playing with paint and the whole floor turned blue! It was horrible at first, but now when I think about it, it is actually quite hilarious.
Anyway, I hope that story is something you can relate to.
My second attempt did not go well either. The client was not pleased but bought it anyway.
I am the type of person who hates upsetting others so I became frustrated with myself. It didn't help that I was stressed with â± as it was to be picked up shortly.
I am one who will always try till I am satisfied with the product.I think many people can relate to this as well and my advice is to practice and try again. As the saying goes practice makes perfect.
I did however learnt something from this incident which is "When in doubt , ask and ask again !" and use this setback to inspire me to do a better job next round . đ©âđł
