Remembering Papa

My papa would have turned 70, 2 days ago. My ardent fan of the steaks I cook(he liked it medium), & the cakes I bake. My dad is a good cook himself. Even knows how to do rice dumplings. It's a shame I didn't pick up that skill from him. He was a simple man. Just love to eat, play Golf & exercise. Always generous with the people around him. Heard the song by Carpenters, Yesterday Once More over the radio. How timely, bringing tears to my eyes coz I first heard of Karen Carpenter & this song was in Papa's car when I was a little girl. As I became older, working & had family, he always tell me "Take it Easy".... I suppose papa knows his Daughter best!😪..This cake must be the most lifeless & colourless I have done. Somehow I just couldn't make it come alive. It's a new flavour, Citron cheesecake. A combination of flavours that papa would have enjoyed.🙂
